This special evening of celebration honors the accomplishments of both 4-H youth and the adults who make life-changing experiences possible for millions of 4-H young people.
National 4-H Council's pledge is to share the power of the 4-H program to cultivate confident youth and to amplify the urgent need for all of us to invest in our youth. 4-H reaches youth in communities all over the US-rural, suburban, and urban. More than six million youth, ages 8-19, are engaged in 4-H projects in the areas of citizenship, science, and healthy living, under the guidance of over half a million adult volunteers. Research shows that 4-H’ers are nearly four times more likely than peers to contribute to their communities, two times more likely to make healthy choices and two to three times more likely to participate in science programming outside of school.
